The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 on 25th May 2018.
This policy has been updated to reflect this change of legislation.
The GDPR refers to ‘controllers’ and ‘processors’.
A controller determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
A processor is responsible for processing personal data on behalf of a controller.
For the purposes of this document and in guidance with the new legislation, Cornerstone Training will be the processors of personal data. Our certificating partner CJ Training Solutions will be the controller of the personal data. The data in question is explained further throughout this document.
Here at Cornerstone Training, we are committed to building and maintaining the confidence and trust in the visitors to our website, and or those that use our services.
So, please be assured that Cornerstone Training does not sell, trade, swap or rent our email lists to any other companies for the purpose of marketing.
This Privacy policy will detail to you the how, when and why we need to collect some personal data from you. We will also explain how we use this information, the limited conditions under which we may need to disclose it to others, and how it is stored securely.
Your Personal Information
Many courses that are offered by Cornerstone Training are accredited through the Association of First Aiders Qualifications. These courses are processed through our certificating partner and Quality Assurance partner CJ Training Solutions.
Some information regarding your booking will need to be shared with them due to the nature of the qualification.
Please also note that records such as registers and exams etc will need to be kept by the above-mentioned parties for 3 years as per current legislative requirements.
However, they will not be able you use your personal date to be contacted unless they have been given express permission from you.
All personal information is kept in a secure location, and all computer-based files are password protected and accessible only on a need to know basis.
Any information sent electronically will be secured with a password to ensure protection of your details.

Cookie Policy
Most websites these days use cookies to collect information, and our website is no exception.
