Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
This course is designed to give people the skills to deal with emergency situations.
Participants will gain knowledge and also practical skills that will enable them to take control of an emergency situation until the arrival of emergency services.
This is a 1 day course for those who would like to be an emergency first aider.
This training is ideal for people working in low risk environments or for areas that already have a fully qualified first aider
Course content

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider

Be able to assess an incident

Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally

Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally

Be able to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking

Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding

Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock

Be able to manage a casualty with a minor in jury
