The Awarding Organisation for Accredited Qualifications (AoFAQ) is an awarding organisation recognised by the Government’s Ofqual, CCEA and the Qualification Wales in England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

AoFAQ specialise in designing qualifications for Food Safety, Health and Safety, First Aid , Education & Quality Assurance, Health and Social Care and associated subjects.

For first aid qualifications where credibility is paramount, AoFA Qualifications is the recognised awarding arm of the Association of First Aiders giving employers confidence in meeting their regulatory requirements second to none.

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

This qualification meets the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the department for Education and Skills Foundation Stage relating to Early Years childcare.

The course is run for a minimum of 12 hours.

Emergency Paediatric first aid (RQF)

This regulated first aid qualification is specific to infants aged under 1, and children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty. If is ideal for parents and babysitters. 

This qualification is the first unit (day one) of the AoFAQ Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

This course is run for a minimum of 6 hours

Level 3 First Aid at Work (QCF)
First Aid at Work (QCF) Requalification

This Regulated Qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to become a first aider. It covers a wider range of subjects than that covered by the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. It provides learners with the skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in higher risk workplaces or workplaces with an increased number of employees. 

This is the requalification of the the level 3 First Aid at Work, which must be completed every 3 years, in oder for a first aider to remain certificated and deemed competent. 

This course is run for a minimum of 12 hours

Level 2 National Award in the Principles and Practices of Infection Prevention and Control

This qualification is designed to provider learners with the underpinning knowledge to contribute to the prevention of infection and disease in the healthcare setting.  

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and the Safe use of an Automated External Defibrilltor (QCF)

This qualification is recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator.

Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF)

This Regulated Qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to become an emergency first aider. This provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low risk workplace environments.

Level 2 award in Basic Life Support and Anaphylaxis (Epi-Pen) (QCF)

This course provides the underpinning knowledge and appropriate skills to manage casualties and ultimately if required to perform effective basic life support until emergency assistance can arrive.  

The qualification is valid for 3 years and is supported by Skills for Health. 

Level 1 National Award in the Principles of Fire Safety in the Workplace

Level 1 National Award in the Principles of Fire Safety in the Workplace is a course designed to provide the underpinning knowledge for learners to operate safely in the workplace with regards to fire safety. 

Level 2 National Award in the Principles of Fire Safety and the Role of the Fire Marshall. 

This qualification is aimed at staff that has been recently appointed or intend to be appointed as a fire marshal/warden in the workplace.

Level 3 Award in Supervising Health and Safety in the Workplace (QCF)

This qualification is designed for those who work in a supervisory, management or training role and require the knowledge and skills to manage the health and safety of a workplace.

Level 2 Award in Understanding and Enabling the Assisting and Moving of Individuals (QCF)

This qualification is designed to provider learners with the underpinning knowledge to assist and move individuals. 

 

Level 2 National Award in Safeguarding Children and Young People

The Level 2 National Award in Safeguarding Children and Young People (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) is suitable for those who come into contact with children as part of their working role including voluntary work and those who work with children on a daily basis e.g. teachers, dental staff, nursery nurses, child-minders, foster carers, teaching assistants, administration staff etc.

Level 1 National Award in the Principles of Health and Safety in the Workplace

This course is designed for learners who are new to the workplace; require refresher training or those seeking new work opportunities.

Level 2 Award in Principles and Practice of Manual Handling (objects)

This qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to safely move objects in the workplace. 

The qualification is ideal for new starters, existing staff and for refresher training. 

Level 2 Award in The Safe Handling and Administration of Medications 

This course has been designed to provide learners who are new in the health and social sector and require the underpinning knowledge in the safe handling and administration of medications

 

Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (QCF)

The qualification is aimed at all employees whether new starters, currently in employment or seeking work. 

Level 2 Award in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) (QCF)

This qualification is designed for anyone who works with hazardous chemicals. 
This includes industries such as education, manufacturing, health and social care, cleaning, offices, military, industry etc.  

 Level 2 National Award in the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA)

The AoFAQ Level 2 National Award in the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults provides learners with the underpinning knowledge to support organisations in their commitment and legal obligation to safeguard vulnerable adults.
