Level 2 Basic Life Support & Anaphylaxis

The AoFAQ Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis qualification has been designed to provide the knowledge and skills to manage casualties with anaphylaxis.

 

This course provides the underpinning knowledge and appropriate skills to manage casualties and ultimately if required to perform effective basic life support until emergency assistance can arrive including administering an auto injector medication (eg Epi-Pen)

The qualification is valid for 3 years and is supported by Skills for Health. 

Learning Outcomes

  •  Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally.

  •  Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally.

  • Know how to recognise a casualty with anaphylaxis.

  • Be able to manage a casualty with anaphylaxis.
